About the Opportunity
Beijing Royal School is seeking four qualified African nationals who are fluent in English and Kiswahili to join its international teaching team for the 2026 academic year.
The school is looking for passionate, innovative educators who can create engaging learning experiences, foster student development, and contribute to a collaborative international environment.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants should possess:
- African nationality.
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, English, Kiswahili, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of classroom teaching experience, preferably in primary or elementary education.
- Fluency in both English and Kiswahili (spoken and written).
- A recognized teaching qualification or English language teaching certificate (TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, PGCE, or equivalent).
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Experience using interactive, learner-centred teaching methodologies.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt to a multicultural international school environment.
- Eligibility to obtain a Chinese work visa.
- Valid Police Clearance Certificate (or willingness to obtain one before deployment).
Key Responsibilities
- Teach English and/or Kiswahili to primary school students.
- Prepare engaging lesson plans and classroom activities.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Monitor and assess student progress.
- Collaborate with school leadership and fellow educators.
- Participate in professional development programmes and school activities.
- Maintain effective communication with parents and school administration.
Working Schedule
- Monday to Friday.
- Full-time employment.
- Weekends generally free except for scheduled school activities or events.
Salary & Benefits
Successful candidates will receive:
- Monthly salary of RMB 50,000 – RMB 72,000 (before tax), based on qualifications and experience.
